You know that picnics can be very unpredictable don't you?
Today was a picnic day were you know you are going to have fun with a bit of effort. That is what Pet Sitting is like for me.
Days of enjoying the relationship of animals & their human parents in different environments. You hope for clear skies & a balmy breeze to keep the bugs away. Sometimes it rains on the picnic but it can be really fun packing up & dashing back to shelter if you choose it to be.
One day last week I helped out my friend & professional Pet Sitter "Karen Levy" owner of Laughing Pets of Atlanta (more about her in another post) I had a light day with my own clients so was able to add several of her clients to my schedule. I had mapped out a route with all of my visits on map quest to be as effective time wise as possible.
Off I went. Some of the her clients I had never met but had detailed information to care for the pets at each stop. At one of the stops I dropped on my way in to the house instructions to the alarm & in picking the paperwork up took too long to get to the alarm so off it went!
True confessions folks & it happens to all of us one time or another.
The good news from all of this is that the adorable 4 month old puppy was not disturbed in the least as I ran to get him out of the blaring noise he just slathered me with sweet puppy kisses then chewed on my fingers! The owner was completely understanding & Karen was as well!
I was the one that had her nerves shattered for setting it off. Good thing I can shake things off quickly & go about my day with a sense of humor! Usually my biggest challenge is finding a miss -placed leash or hanging on when a dog is pulling for dear life to get to that furry squirrel! At the end of the day I felt accomplished & had that good kind of tiredness that you get from a Picnic kind of day!
