As they snore away (husband & two dogs) I sit in the dark lighted only by my computer monitor pondering away. At just about 11:00 PM my last pet visit was earlier @ 10:00 PM. I am grateful that wePet Sitters have the foresight to keep our clients close by usually within a 5 mile radius so that the late night visits are not too far from home.
My good friend and back up partner for some of each others clients "Karen Levy" of Laughing Pets Atlanta shakes her head when today I get lost finding a place only about a mile away from my home! Go figure!
OK I did get distracted when I stopped to hand out a business card to some folks walking two big beautiful Doberman Pinchers.
This week was full of surprises IE:
I am driving down the road with a dog client in the back seat and she decides to give me a bath behind my ear (ewe) with great enthusiasm! Try driving while that's happening! :-)
I went to put a leash on a sweet male dog client, he rolls over in his excitement on to his back and pee's right across my face & glasses! Argh! My face went immediately under the water faucet!
I played peek a boo with a really cool cat that likes to touch you with its paws as if it wants to say something as it stretches up to get your attention.
I discovered that 4 months ago the really cool wrap signage on my vehicle for pet sitting had the wrong phone number. It was supposed to be 1-888 but I completely missed that instead it had 1-800 Argh!
Harry my husband was so cute about the tears of frustration at myself for the mistake. He helped remind me that everything can be fixed and not to sweat the small stuff. Especially when I am so passionate about the big picture of helping people & animals alike. To make it turn out even better the folks from the sign shop (thank you Brooke!) Did a couple of quick fixes on the phone #s until I can re do the wrap.
Twice this week clients told me how valuable my service to them was and what a positive difference it made for them & their pets! It felt so good to hear that!
Upps I caught myself nodding off at the computer! Time for beddy bye I hope you have had an amazing week yourself!
